Torch was that spur of the moment puppy we all think about.  You know the one where we say “Well I always wanted a red BC haven’t I?”  The opportunity arose and I could not pass up a pick from an entire little of daring red/white puppies!

Torch has been playing agility since February 2003.  His first trial was over President’s Day weekend in Aston, PA.  That was the weekend the northeast was hit by an incredible blizzard – right in Aston and the entire drive home.  What a debut weekend!

He's a playful guy who is extremely driven to do just about anything you ask.  In fact, I’ve not found anything he won’t do.  Torch’s favorite pastime, besides hugging, is anything that involves doing something – the faster and better.  Torch has one speed and one speed only.  I think that comes from his early flyball training which was run, run, run.

Learning to handle Torch has been an ongoing learning experience.  He never quits and will try over and over again until he, or I as the case usually is, finally get it right. Running him is a blast.  He’s always focused and ready to roll.

Torch lives to play tug and catch a ball or Frisbee. The best toy he owns is the Chuck-it and he'll happily play fetch for hours at a time. He thinks sheep are fun and took to herding very quickly.  He waited patiently for me to catch on.  He just loves cows.

After seeing him playing agility people are truly amazed that he’s a Delta Society Pet Partner.  He’s very calm and gentle with the kids and the kids simple adore him.

Never doing anything halfway Torch gives his full attention and energy to the task at hand.
